Easton Families - Chasing Shapes

Bauhaus inspired art project with artist Lily Keal and 3 and 4 year olds from Easton Families nursery

In Autumn 2016 Arnolfini is working with Easton Families and artist Lily Keal exploring creative play with a series of workshops. The project takes an element of Arnolfini's family programme offsite, inviting parents and carers to join the workshops and discover different ways of making with their children.

The workshops are inspired by the style that emerged form the Bauhaus, the German twentieth century modernist art school. Using the strong colours and shapes that became iconic of the Bauhaus style, the workshops play with light, shadow, costume and sculpture to explore learning and play through making.
