For Every Step You Take I Take A Thousand
As part of last year’s Port City project at Arnolfini, Duncan Speakman walked across the Somerset Levels to Bristol, tracing the footsteps of migrants working in Somerset’s agricultural industries. As he walked he sonically mapped the landscape as ‘a means of revisiting, remembering and potentially recreating his own small migration.’ From this walk, Duncan has created an unlimited artist's book edition which is accompanied by an audio soundtrack. The book and sound files are available as downloads here on Arnolfini's project site, together with more information about the project, including a short video showing you how to make your own copy of the book.
