Andrew Law has been making Artists' Books since 1973. He studied at Wimbledon School of Art, Liverpool Polytechnic and the University of Liverpool. He was instrumental in launching ‘Real Art’ magazine in the 1980s and 1990s. This publication was devoted to visuals and contained a high percentage of “real” collages, prints, paintings and drawings. This publication along with his artists’ books are in the collections of the V&A and Tate Gallery.
His books are based on travel, memory, nature both real and imagined. They are made using a variety of media including collage, paint, photographs and ink. Influences include Robert Rauschenberg and Shinro Ohtake.
