Ofri Cnaani was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1975 and currently lives and works in New York. In 2000 she graduated from the Beit-Berel College School of Art, Israel, before receiving an MFA from Hunter College Art School, New York, in 2004. As an artist, Cnaani works with video and drawing. Her work has been exhibited internationally; solo exhibitions include Waiting Room at Peer Gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel (2000); The Sun Still Shines at Galleria Pack, Italy (2004); The Colonel and I at Andrea Meislin Gallery, New York (2005); and Pathos at Petach Tivka Museum of Art, Israel (2007). Group exhibitions include Action Express at Kalisher Art Gallery, Tel Aviv, (2001); Going Public 04: maps, confines, new geographies at aMAZE Cultural Lab, Modena (2004); AIM 26 at Bronx Museum, New York (2005); and LOOP Video Art Festival, Barcelona (2006).
