Georgia Sagri lives and works between New York and Athens. Recent performances include 'Working the No Work' at the Whitney Museum, New York and a version of ‘Owen’ at the Thessaloniki Performance Festival, Thessaloniki.
She is the founder and editor of audio-only magazine Forte and a collaborator in the ongoing project Saloon. Presenting works in both exhibition and performance formats Sagri incorporates installations, sculpture, video, textiles, music composition, sound production and writing into her work at venues such as MoMA, New York, Guggenheim, Bilbao, The National Theatre of Greece and Anthony Reynolds in London. Equally concerned with political organizing, Georgia has been active in protest movements such as the Occupy Wall Street in 2011 and the call for General Strike ‘MAY DAY '12’, New York.
