Heather Phillipson is a London-based artist working with video, sound, sculpture and live events. Phillipson's works have recently been shown in exhibitions including Bleurgh at CIRCA, Projects Newcastle, EYE MUSIC FOR DANCING at Flat Time House, London, SWITCH at BALTIC 39, Newcastle, Remote Control (with Auto Italia), at ICA, London, and Performance as Publishing at Kunsthalle Basel (all 2012).
‘PRESSURIZATION’ has recently shown at The London Open at Whitechapel Gallery, London and also featured at the aforementioned Bleurgh at CIRCA Projects, Newcastle.
Heather is also an award-winning poet, published by Faber and Faber in the Faber New Poets series. Her book-length text, NOT AN ESSAY, was published by Penned in the Margins in December 2012 and her collection of poems, Instant-flex 718, will be published by Bloodaxe in April 2013. Heather was a participant in the LUX Associate Artists Programme 2011-12.
