Christine Tacq set up The p’s & q’s Press in 1999 to publish letterpress, intaglio and relief printed books, having worked in the book format since 1991 combining various technologies.
Printess & the p: This newly published award-winning book has 33 pages of prints and 7 double pages of colour collagraphs. Embossing is used to hint at past and future events in a reimagined version of Hans Andersen’s story.
The Modulors: Leonie Lachlan uses clever folds and layers of printmaking to explore units of space, quoting from ‘De Architectura’ by Vitruvius.
Both these books were commended at last year’s UK Fine Press Book Fair. Emerging books inspired by new projects will also be on show.
