Sue Tompkins (b. 1971, Leighton Buzzard, Scotland) graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1994. She currently lives and works in Glasgow.
She has had solo exhibitions in numerous venues, including the Showroom, London, in 2007. Tompkins has also performed at institutions and events around the world, notably the Scottish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2005, and Tate Britain in 2006. Recent solo exhibitions and performances include It's Chiming in Normaltown, Midway Contemporary Art in Minneapolis, My Kind Book, Dia Art Foundation, New York; Hallo Welcome to Keith Street, various venues; and Salute to the Dataday, Contemporary Art Museum,St. Louis. Forthcoming solo exhibitions include the Portland Museum of Modern Art and the Modern Institute, Glasgow.
