Teresa Gleadowe is a curator, writer and editor. She worked for the Visual Arts Department of the British Council before being appointed Head of Information at the Tate Gallery in 1989. In 1992 she developed the first UK MA in curating at the Royal College of Art, and directed the programme until 2006. From 2006 to 2012 she was an editor for the Exhibition Histories series published by Afterall.
Teresa has taught on curatorial programmes at California College of the Arts, San Francisco; de Appel, Amsterdam; the London Consortium and Chelsea College of Art and Design. She initiated The Falmouth Convention in 2010, The Penzance Convention in 2012 and The Cornwall Workshops at Kestle Barton in 2011 and 2013 and is currently developing further projects in Cornwall.
