Victoria Bean is a visual poet.
She combines a background in printmaking with her experience as a writer to create films, books, and prints using her own words as well as overheard phrases and found texts. Her work condenses meaning in ways that open up multiple readings. She looks at social and political issues, often on a local level, and after spending a year observing cases in a Magistrates’ Court her first collection of poetry,
Caught, was published in 2011.
