St George's Bristol: Bristol Classical Players 'Classical Masterpieces'

Saturday 01 October 2016, 19:30 to 21:00

Tickets from £10 Book

An evening of wonderful music by Mendelssohn, Mozart and Beethoven, including a beautiful concerto for Flute and Harp at St George's Bristol

Following Mendelssohn’s turbulent seascape, Bristol Classical Players are joined by Michelle Krawiec and Julia Hammersley for Mozart’s serene Flute and Harp Concerto. The second half is devoted to the most dynamic of Beethoven’s symphonies, the irresistibly dancing seventh. Wagner himself called it “the apotheosis of the dance” and once danced to the whole work played by Liszt on the piano. We challenge you to stay in your seats…
