Offsite - Bristol Museum & Art Gallery: Geology Store Tour

Wednesday 26 October 2016, 11:30 to 13:30
Free

Join us on a family friendly curator-led guided tour of some of the Jurassic fossil treasures cared for behind the scenes in the geology store.

Bristol was very different 150 million years ago, covered in warm seas that were teeming with ancient life while the dinosaurs roamed the land. Discover the ancient marine reptiles that swam in the Jurassic sea including the amazing ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs. They were not the only predators lurking in the Jurassic deep; early marine crocodiles would have been hunting too or maybe something even bigger...

Spaces on this unique tour are limited due to space - please book at reception on the day.

Tours take place at 11.30, 12.30 and 13.30

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery houses world-class collections, from dinosaurs and gems to magnificent fine art and Egyptian artefacts. 20 galleries tell the story of our world from the beginning of time to the present day.
