Brian Griffiths combines devices of showmanship from theatre and sideshows with sculptural traditions that exaggerate scale and manipulate perspective. His works are characterized by a kind

of shabby grandeur and mix the found and the made, the everyday and the fantastical, the humorous and the melancholic into scenarios in which the viewer becomes a performer in a fantasy of transformation.
