Who is it for?

Future Forward is a free portfolio and advisory service for 16 to 25 year olds. You don't have to be in formal education (though students are very welcome), or even be 100% sure whether or not you want to be an artist! All we expect is that you have some interest in the sort of work Arnolfini programmes, and a desire to find out more about how to pursue a future in the contemporary arts.

What should you expect?

This sessions is 1:1 with Lucy Badrocke, Assistant Curator (Exhibitions), Arnolfini. Prior to this, she worked as Programme Coordinator at Picture This, managing the production of new artist film commissions and exhibitions, and as a freelance curator and project manager. The session will be relaxed and informal, and will take place in Arnolfini's Reading Room.

What do we need from you?

The more information you are able to provide your advisor, the better they will be able to help you. You don't need to bring along a portfolio of work - though it might be helpful if you have one - but do have a think about the questions you have before you arrive. For example, you might want careers advise, information about funding opportunities, help choosing a course, how to show your work, etc. Focus on your priorities, and what you would most like to get out of the session.
