Goat Island Symposium: Creative Re-Use; the Body of Knowledge
This symposium will explore a range of creative and critical, practical and theoretical responses to the lively debate over the role of the performer in Live Art as a unique conductor, repository, translator and practitioner of knowledge in contemporary culture and the digital age.
Internationally renowned scholars and artists will join with Chicago-based Goat Island performance group to make provocative contributions to the symposium. Goat Island will also present a performative lecture and show their recent film It’s Aching Like Birds.
