Howling Owl: New Year / New Noise 4

Friday 20 January 2017 to Sunday 22 January 2017, 20:00 to 16:00

Howling Owl Records return to Arnolfini for a three day array of forward thinking music, art and noise.

NEW YEAR NEW NOISE UNDER NEW HARSH STATIC. THICK BRICK DUST CLOGS LUNG AND THROAT AND CHESTS TIGHTEN FOR TIRED EXHALATION. FRAGMENTS OF EVERYTHING CAVE IN. DISINTEGRATION FEEDS THE FEEDBACK LOOPS THAT FEED OFF CONCERTATION. OPTIMISM TRODDEN DEAD THROUGH SICK SLICK FORCE OF WHICH ONLY A SADIST WOULD REVEL AND ALL WE HAVE LEFT IS THE LUST TO DESTROY IT ALL. BRICK BY BRICK AND WALL BY WALL.

Howling Owl

Howling Owl Records is an ever-evolving outpost of music, art and reaction. Beginning with a one off compilation tape in 2011, Howling Owl Records are now at the foreground of Bristol's music scene. From releasing forward thinking music on vinyl, self publishing papers and zines to programming a wide range of shows and exhibitions in off-kilter locations; Howling Owl are a product of the town from where they came, the city where they live, the people they work with and the music industry they work against.

For New Year/New Noise 4, Howling Owl Records are also spreading their wings across the building with performances and discussions taking place throughout the weekend.
