A new installation by artist Louisa Fairclough based on the visions and ‘musical hallucinations’ of angelic voices experienced by a young composer living on the River Severn.

At the core of the work are spoken monologues recorded by the river and reproduced on vinyl dubplate, whilst the phantom music she first heard is realised through vocal interventions that resonate throughout the building. The harmonies are sung by Gloucester Cathedral Youth Choir directed by Adrian Partington with sound design, recording and post-production by Richard Jeffrey-Gray.

Launch: Friday 21 February, 5pm

A Bristol New Music Commission in association with ICIA University of Bath; supported by the PRS for Music Foundation.
