A performance programme over two nights, for film that goes beyond narrative cinema and sound that goes beyond tunes. Featuring live performances from Ken Jacobs, Eric La Casa, Andrew Lampert, Bruce McClure, Paul Sharits, Metamkine, Kjell Bjørgeengen, Keith Rowe & Philipp Waschmann and Greg Pope.

Film Programme

A series of three film programmes which navigate the multiple ways in which filmmakers and artists have addressed the dilemmas and possibilities of sound and image.

Word Associations

Exploring discontinuity between narration, text and image with films from Manuel Saiz and Peter Rose.

Out of Sight, Out of Synch

Screenings include Hollis Frampton’s masterful (nostalgia) with sounds and images slipping out of synch and into discord.

Epileptic Seizure Comparison

Paul Sharits’ deeply empathetic exploration of epilepsy.
