On the afternoon of Saturday 19th January 4 Days presents performance as ‘Works in Progress’. Laure Prouvost was one of the artists involved.

With: Laure Prouvost

Predominantly from artists working in a solo format ‘works in progress’ is a chance for audiences to experience live ideas in an intimate gallery or studio setting, work informed by visual art, live art, theatrical, choreographic and musical strategies which despite being performed already in previous contexts is still considered ‘in progress’ or ‘continuing’, ‘unfinished’ or ‘in flux’ and an ongoing component of their current practice.

Three different short sharp performances from French artist Prouvost detailing events that occurred perhaps a few seconds ago in a room slightly smaller than the ‘one we’re in now’. Each references the artist’s ‘conceptual grandfather’ a character who she claims was a famous conceptual artist. The grandfather guides Laure’s exploration of ideas around translation between languages and audiences across different media.
