Blood Wall Drawing 1
Location: Upstairs Gallery
This making of Blood Wall Drawing 1 emerges from work that investigates notions of the body (and more specifically the artist's body) as both a material and a site. This work will attempt to speak of the edges of the body and its fragile limits. Over four days a wall drawing using the artist's blood will be performed in the gallery, mapping and investigating possibilities of an extension of a bodily presence into and onto an architectural space. In the final stage the drawing will be painted over, revealing the act of its disappearance, embedding the drawing into the structure and architecture of the gallery, a space where signs, actions and traces of bodies and bodies of works are never fully erased.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
