Join Something & Son on a tour of the Ballast Garden and a talk on their practice.

Something & Son is a London based arts practice founded by Andrew Merritt and Paul Smyth. Their work is rooted in an inquisitiveness and experimentation reflecting their varied backgrounds and shared passion for art, engineering, social systems, and the environment. Their work tackles the social and environmental challenges of our time often involving the transformation of existing spaces.

Recent projects include Amusefood, a sustainable farming initiative on a rooftop in the form of a fish and chip shop for Folkestone Triennial and the ‘The Sweat Oratory’ for Kinsale Arts Festival.

Paul Smyth will lead a visit to the Floating Ballast Seed Garden and a talk about the practice’s projects.
