The Bristol Pieces
Bomba Suicida
This summer, Arnolfini plays host to extraordinary Lisbon-based interdisciplinary collective, Bomba Suicida. Over the last seven years, this group of performers, designers, djs and video artists have been developing their distinctive, quirky dance works to international acclaim. At the same time, they regularly produce an extremely popular cabaret event involving a wide spectrum of Portuguese artists. Building on the unusual range of artist-led cabaret events taking place in Bristol over recent years, we have invited this unique group to collaborate with local artists to develop a special, one-off cabaret evening of new work with a Bristolian/Portuguese flavour, just for us.
“The Sunday Show is, like the name says, a show on Sunday. Bomba Suicida suggest a subject/theme, the artists reply and perform … the audience adores. Everything is generous in a Sunday Show, everything is perfect in this playground …” Bomba Suicida
