Arnolfini brings you a double bill of inspired artists’ lectures. The artists will give presentations on the results of their research for Wonderful.
Third Angel: Hurrysickness
Do you never have quite enough time in the day? Do you change lanes in traffic queues in the hope you will get home just that bit faster? Do you get irrationally irritated by the cashier who’s just too slow? If the answer to any of the above is yes, you may be suffering from Hurrysickness, caving in to the pressure of constantly having to cram more into the day. Performance company Third Angel will be looking at the science behind this social virus in their unique style.

Richard Dedomenici: CowBoard™
Thanks to BSE and Foot and Mouth, British cattle are undervalued, vulnerable and in desperate need of empowerment. What better way than through new media awareness lessons? The aim of this project is to devise and construct a device to enable cows to access the internet. A collaboration with Dr Bryan Jones, animal behaviourist at the Roslin Institute, Edinburgh, whose recent research has shown that the stress levels of chickens can be relieved with a daily dose of television.
