During the last few decades a bewildering array of dance developed.
Many of these dance forms are presented as Contemporary Dance, although they may offer radically in content, style and mode of presentation.
This course aims to help its members to understand and appreciate the many different contemporary dance forms currently being performed in Britain. We will consider the work of major choreographers and innovators in contemporary Dance in the light of their social, historical and cultural contexts, as well as discussing them in relation to developments in other art forms.
