Join artist Heather Phillipson as part of the UWE Fine Art / Art in the City series of lectures.

Heather Phillipson works across video, sculpture, music, text and live events. Recent solo exhibitions include: Bunker259, New York; Dundee Contemporary Arts; Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool; Zabludowicz Collection, London; BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead; and a video commission for Random Acts, Channel 4 television. 

Recent solo events include: Assembly, Tate Britain; the flavour of cooling enormities, Serpentine Gallery; Nuovo Monde, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, and BOG-STANDARD REFRESHER, a live music event at the ICA, London. In 2015, Phillipson will present new work at Schirn Frankfurt, the Istanbul Biennial and will be Writer in Residence at the Whitechapel Gallery, London.

Phillipson is also an award-winning poet and was named a Next Generation Poet in 2014. For her presentation at Arnolfini, Heather Phillipson will discuss her recent exhibitions in the UK, Europe and New York, with specific reference to the influence of poetry and its syntactic, sensual and formal structures.
