Arnolfini Podcast: Imagine New Rules - Episode 6 with Marvin Rees

Claire is joined by Bristol's Mayor, Marvin Rees. They discuss the essential need for artists to be at the table in the planning of future cities; the role that arts and culture can play in telling the stories of individuals, communities and places, and importance of heritage and individuality in the face of globalisation.

"It is critical that we have an ability to tell a story, and that we have a story to tell. If we have not crafted our own sense of our story, we’re just going to be bumped around by the world.

We will just live the story that’s sold to us and we’re encouraged to live by advertisers and marketers, we’ll be void of substance. We’ll just be our GDP and we need to be more than that"

Thank you for listening to Arnolfini Podcast: Imagine New Rules.
