Arnolfini announces Kate Brindley as Director

Arnolfini is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Brindley as its Director.

Kate was appointed Interim Director of Arnolfini in April 2014 and, following a full recruitment process, has now been confirmed as Director with immediate effect.

Since becoming Interim Director in April, Kate has taken Arnolfini forward. In July Arts Council England committed to ongoing funding of Arnolfini over the next three years. To maximise this impact and commitment from Arts Council, Arnolfini’s Trustees and Kate Brindley put in place a renewal programme to take Arnolfini into the next stage of its development.

Kate Brindley commented, “I am delighted to be appointed as the Director of Arnolfini, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with partners and communities in the city to shape the next chapter for the organisation. The ongoing commitment from the Arts Council to Arnolfini for the next 3 years is a vote of confidence as we plan the future programme, building on Arnolfini’s legacy in Bristol and beyond. ”

Anna Southall, Interim Chair of Arnolfini’s Trustees, said today “We are delighted that Kate will now lead Arnolfini through the next phase of its development. She has wide ranging experience of leading cultural organisations, and a passion for introducing new audiences to a rich diversity of contemporary art. We look forward to working with her as Arnolfini looks to the future with confidence.”
