Public Art Commissions in the City

The Learning team is working in partnership with Bristol City Council to deliver public art programmes in schools across the City.  These commissions began with Martin Parr photographing an academic year in the life of St Mary Redcliffe and Temple school, documenting their transition to a new building and in so doing developing a unique relationship with the pupils, staff and their environment. The project completed in November 2011, showcase’s Parr's photographs as large scale prints in the school. Images from this extraordinary record are also be published in a newspaper.

This project was the first commission in this series. The second phase of this project is the Primary/Bristol.
