On the afternoon of Saturday 19th January 4 Days presents performance as ‘Works in Progress’. Edwin Burdis was one of the artists involved.
Predominantly from artists working in a solo format ‘works in progress’ is a chance for audiences to experience live ideas in an intimate gallery or studio setting, work informed by visual art, live art, theatrical, choreographic and musical strategies which despite being performed already in previous contexts is still considered ‘in progress’ or ‘continuing’, ‘unfinished’ or ‘in flux’ and an ongoing component of their current practice.
Also featuring elsewhere in the 4 Days schedule as part of Heather Phillipson’s PRESSURIZATION, Burdis presents his work in progress ‘Home’ incorporating a table, a chair and potentially some beers.
Assisting Edwin in this performance is his friend and fellow artist Kieron Livingstone.
