Edwin Burdis

Using sound, pencil and paint, hard sculpture and in collaboration with other artsists, writers, musicians and members of his family, Edwin creates “dense grids of drawings overweight with colour, all consuming roly-poly sounds works, fecund environments erupting in a hubbub of tones and cries, and performs shambolic gaffes”.

Re-appropriating film, music, sound, conversations, text, images and bodily functions Burdis’ describes his works thus as “A collage of fatty-fast-foods, leggy-yellow booze-filled vats and man-sized eyes. Flocks of florescent green soft-knifes on lilac walls. Spotlighted doors and solid PA systems that pour out subbass notes.”
