Lee Gamble

Lee Gamble has been involved in many projects over the years, including the CYRK collective, collaborations with Bryan Lewis Saunders and others, and a youth spent in the pirate radio and experimental jungle scene.

Last year still must have represented a watershed though: he released two long-players on PAN, both of which sent the critics into raptures and were acclaimed as two of the most important records of the year. Diversions 1994-1996 drew on Gamble's own experiences, activating sounds and rhythms drawn exclusively from his fuzzy home taped jungle and hardcore mixtape recordings within compelling, spectral compositions. Dutch Tvashar Plumes brought together his long standing work in experimental electronics with a techno sensibility, to devastating effect.
