Susanne Kriemann

£16.45 →

The book is the result of two exhibitions by Susanne Kriemann at Arnolfini in Bristol and the Kunstverein Braunschweig and presents an extensive overview of the work of the German-born photographer.

Archival images frequently serve as a starting point for Kriemann's own images, which both address the circumstances in which the historical images were produced, as well as their link to the present day — and always also examine her own medium of photography.

The exhibition in Bristol began with research into the Construction School, which existed in Bristol between 1964-1979 as part of the West of England College of Art and Design. The book documents the exhibition, as well as the photographic works themselves.
