Architecture Lecture series
Monuments to the Millennium – a lasting legacy or melting moments?

This year’s series examines the objectives and achievements of the Millennium Commission’s Investment of £2 billion of National Lottery money. Are the products of this endeavour of enduring quality, or fleeting memorials to politicians’ (and architects’) vanity? Which buildings will become listed in the future? How will the celebrations be remembered? Four lectures will explore some of the key issues. Each occasion will focus on a single project and involve a dialogue between client, architect and commentator. Organised by the RIBA Bristol and Bath Branch.
