Bodies In Flight (UK)
skinworks (a valentine) work-in-progress
“Two handles appear in a chatroom; they’re anonymous, they’re anybody, everybody, they’re angels, demons, they’re hermaphrodites; they’re making a new kind of love, mailing valentines into the void; they never imagined there was a lurker in there with them.” Three performers cruise the web, crashing chatrooms, flipping identities, pushing imagination beyond the tech spec. Made in collaboration with the band Angel Tech and film-maker Lucy Baldwyn, skinworks marks the culmination of the company’s research into cyberlove and explores how new desires and moods of love emerge from sex without bodies. This show contains material some may find disturbing. There will be a post-show discussion; all welcome.
