Don Byron
Bug Music for Juniors
In this lively and entertaining project for children and adults alike leading New York clarinettist Don Byron introduces figures from the history of jazz into a fun-filled programme of cartoons, music and short films. The performance features the music of three composers – Duke Ellington, credited with being the greatest jazz composer, Raymond Scott, a composer of ‘novelty’ jazz and John Kirby, an innovative swing musician and band leader – and their contribution to film. Inspired by the interaction of jazz and cartoon films this is a hugely enjoyable introduction into the world of jazz!
