Join female duo, Eyes for Gertrude, for an intimate and captivating performance as you travel to the Floating Ballast Seed Garden.

Eyes For Gertrude are a British female duo who write full-hearted, unforgettable songs about real things. Piano pulsed, accordion tinged, guitar swooned songs are shaped around captivating observations of the everyday. Infused in their striking sound is a combination of musical influences, focusing on the balance between evocative and haunting harmonies.  

Expect to experience an intimate, stripped back performance; with sounds that have been influenced by England, Canada and even their own home towns, as you boat down the canal to the Floating Ballast Seed Garden.

Hannah and Chantelle started writing together at Dartington College of Arts and went on to spend time in Toronto – Canada and eventually recorded their debut album “Residential Bliss”, in Vancouver which they released earlier this year.

The band had a whirlwind 2014 playing live on BBC Radio 4′s Loose Ends show, Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 show. As well as playing at a whole host of UK festivals including Larmer Tree and Glastonbury.  The pair have been making themselves known in the Bristol scene with sold out shows at the Louisiana and rave reviews from the Bristol press.
