Festival of Nature Boat Tour with Kasha Smal

Sunday 16 June 2013, 09:30 to 11:00

As part of Festival of Nature, you can take a boat tour to see the Floating Ballast Seed Garden to hear about its eco-design and the plants that inhabit it.

Join Kasha Smal, from the University of Bristol Botanic Garden for an introduction and welcome to the Seeds of Change artwork. Uncover the botanical background to the Ballast Seed Garden.

Working with Brazilian artist Maria Thereza Alves, designer Gitta Gschwendtner and the University of Bristol Botanic Garden, Arnolfini has utilised a disused grain barge to create a Ballast Seed Garden on Bristol’s Floating Harbour.

Part of BIG Green Week 2013 opening on 15 & 16 June with the Festival of Nature, celebrating its 10th anniversary as Europe’s biggest natural history festival.

Boat tours leaving from Amphitheatre Ferry stop, Harbourside.

Booking in advance advised.

Please collect tickets from the Festival of Nature: Seeds of Change tent, Amphitheatre Square, on the day of the tour.
