Terrence Higgins Trust and Arnolfini join together to celebrate and commemorate 30 years of World AIDS Day with a screening of After 82. “An invaluable contribution to the history of the AIDS epidemic…precisely the kind of unvarnished, unapologetic, unfiltered oral history that we deserve” (Hank Trout, A&U, America’s AIDS Magazine)

Showing in Bristol for the first time, After 82 is an incredible documentary that looks back to the very early days of the AIDS pandemic in the UK. This frank and important movie features moving interviews about a desperate time that the world must never forget.

After 82 is a remarkable testament to human compassion, strength, love and resilience and ensures that those voices will never be forgotten.

After the screening, we will be joined by Steve Keeble and Ben Lord, who created, produced and directed After 82, for a question and answer session. They will be joined by Jonathan Blake, an activist and campaigner who features in the documentary, and who was diagnosed with HIV in 1982. Jonathan was immortalised on film in the 2015 film ‘Pride,’ played by Dominic West.

Join us from 5.30pm for a welcome drink in the Front Room at Arnolfini. The screening will begin at 6.30pm, followed by a Q&A.
