Free (Booking advised) Book

Join artists Antigoni Tsagkaropoulou and Lykourgos Porfyris (POP Tektonism) for an audio-visual fairytale exploring sexuality, gender, disability, vulnerability, trauma, and the monster identity.

Vulnerable Fluffy Monsters will be told in four chapters, illustrated with drawings and songs inspired by friendship and radical tenderness, all performed atop Fluffy.

POP Tektonism will tell the story of the white little thingy who is transformed into a Cockatoo
parrot. The creation of the fairy tale took place in November 2018 in Fluffy Library's first incarnation in Atopos CVC, Athens - and the story grows as it comes to Arnolfini.

There are a limited amount of free e-tickets available for this experience, please book in advance.

POP Tektonism is Lykourgos Porfyris' sound art project where he is testing the aesthetics of “rock-star” lifestyles. With an emphasis in pop music, they present a vulnerable image of a “star”, which contradicts to the polished and empowered image of a rock-star. In their performances, they exhibit weakness, uncomfortableness, prone behavior and trauma. In their songs, they are celebrating disability, bisexual confusion and queer negativity.

Antigoni Tsagkaropoulou (b. 1994, Athens) is an artist whose work combines large-scale participatory installations with interactive performances and is deeply influenced by queer feminist dialogues. She explores the notion of playfulness as a political act and also as a tool to create alternative senses of desire, self-expression and co-existence. Her fluffy, intimate installations are safe spaces that embrace uncommon narratives and blur the boundaries between different ages and genders. Through collaborations, workshops for kids and fluffiness she is trying to connect art together with alternative pedagogy and activism.

Her work has been showcased at the 6th Biennale of Thessaloniki, the 10th Berlin Biennale “We don’t need another hero” in collaboration with Fabiana Faleiros at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, the National Opera of Greece. Her latest project “Fluffy Library”, commissioned by ATOPOS cvc, lasted for one year as part of ‘’UNESCO’s Athens 2018, World Book Capital".
