Join online magazine gal-dem as they produce and host the second edition of Moving Targets live radio show in Gallery 1. Combining music, art work and conversation, gal-dem will weave together a radio show that discusses their relationship to punk as a way to represent and advocate for those who are doing it for themselves and punk’s ability to move the marginal to the forefront.

Through a carefully curated group of guests, gal-dem will be celebrating women who are breaking creative boundaries and showcasing the work of women of colour. Bringing together vibrant imagery by artist Leyla Reynolds, Antonia Odunlami’s ability to draw out the finest sounds from all corners of the earth and Liv Little’s interviews, gal-dem hope to provide a treat for the eyes and ears during their two radio takeovers.

Guests have been asked to select songs by some of their favourite women who represent the notion of punk through time, from the inception of the movement, to more contemporary acts who represent an evolved definition of punk. We will be talking to our guests about these artists, the essence of “punk” and how it feeds into our DIY generation in relation to our guests’ crafts.

The first Moving Targets radio show will be produced and hosted by artist and musician Jenny Moore, click here for more details.
