Howard Riley Unit

Monday 21 March 1977, 23:00

Howard Riley (piano), Tony Oxley (drums and amplified percussion), Barry Guy (double bass), Phil Wachsmann (violin) and Roy Ashbury (percussion).

This interesting group plays music which covers the spectrum from compositions by Howard Riley to free collective improvisation, embracing both acoustic and live electronic music. An unusual and stimulating synthesis.

This concert is part of the 1976-77 Contemporary Music Network of the Arts Council of Great Britain.
