Memory Book Workshop with Bookcase Press

Saturday 01 April 2017, 13:00 to 15:00

Come and find out how to make a book to store memories and keepsakes. For children accompanied by adults.

In this workshop, Eileen and Noriko will show you how to make your own beautiful and unique hand made book using old books, found images, photographs, and text to collage, stitch and cut pages.  Each unique journal will be a ‘keepsake’ to contain your own messages, images, envelopes, and pockets to store secret and important information and memories.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Up to 2 adults can accompany 1 child.

BookCasePress is a small self publishing press set up by Eileen White and Noriko Suzuki-Bosco.

Eileen White is an artist based in Winchester, she makes site-responsive artist books and installations using paper, stitch and a variety of printing processes.

Noriko Suzuki-Bosco is a visual artist and a PhD candidate based in Winchester. She is interested in collaborative ways of making work, resulting in artist books, collective drawings and writings.

You can see more of their work on their stand throughout BABE 2017.
