Radical queer performance, drawing on ritual, myth, magick and mysticism to unite, to protest, to process, to dream. Presented by Joseph Morgan Schofield, Thomas Yeomans & Arnolfini.

Six artists present queer future rituals – unmediated by the screen, acted out live and in the flesh. Inviting you to join them to create a space of dreaming forward, these performances will encourage us to ask: what might our future rituals look like? Who are they for and what are they trying to do?

Future Ritual is troubled by the ways in which capitalism has replaced communing with transaction, how the closure and privatisation of space drives community online and how online forums have given a platform to a new generation of the racist right who are appropriating occultist practices. We are committed to challenging homophobia, transphobia, racism, classism + ableism + we are committed to providing a space outside of normative structures.

Please note that works may involve nudity and temporary body modification. The evening presents a series of short works and you are able to come and go as you please.
