As public funding is squeezed, arts organisations are required to work even harder to make the case for what they do. Quality of Experience is a key concept in Arts Council England’s strategy, but what does ‘Quality of Experience’ mean, and how do we measure it?

Visual Arts South West has commissioned a research study with AJ Associates that firstly conceptualises the term, and pilots methodologies for measuring experience. AJ Associates has been working with 4 organisations in the South West; Arnolfini, b-side multimedia festival, New Brewery Arts and Spike Island.

This event is open to anyone interested in learning more about audience development and invites interested practitioners, organisational representatives and audiences to hear more about the project, and to contribute to its development.

The day will include:

Introduction and Welcome from Grace Davies, Regional Development Coordinator

Overview and findings of the project  – Annabel Jackson, Project Lead

Case study presentations from the 4 partners

Group discussions and Q&A sessions

This event is free but your place must be booked in advance through our Box Office on 0117 917 2300
