DIZRAELI

Dizraeli is a rapper, multi-instrumentalist and sometime singer taking hiphop to new terrains. After six years pushing boundaries with his band Dizraeli & The Small Gods, winning the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, receiving regular radio play and spellbinding crowds at festivals across Europe, he now focuses on brand new and groundbreaking solo ventures.

He's composed the soundtrack for Tripped, a new parallel-worlds comedy on E4; toured France with producer and turntablist DJ DownLow; spent a week in the refugee camp at Calais, giving workshops and listening to migrants; travelled to Senegal to study West African music with an albino master resulting in the Eat My Camera EP - a head-nod-heavy and beautiful, unsugared songwriting unlike anything you’ve heard before.

THE UNMASTER is his new solo album and theatre show which took 2 years, a breakdown, many hours of therapy and endless nights to create. Drawing on grime, jazz & West African percussion, it tells the story of that breakdown in a London that seems itself insane…

“Touching, funny stories of riots, atheism and Englishness... Dizraeli embodies 21st Century folk” - The Independent

“Folk or hip hop? I don’t know, but Dizraeli makes me realise how wonderful it is to hear real English – fluent, witty and arresting." - The Times Saturday Review

JAKABAL FEAT. MALAIKA KEGODE

Inspired by the energy of bands like Mahavishnu Orchestra and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Jakabol are an experimental 4 piece consisting of harp, violin, drums and guitar. Fusing world folk influences with progressive textures and explosive riffs.

Malaika Kegode’s work tells of how we can find beauty and hope through the darkness. Her overall themes of family, mental health, addiction and love always have an undercurrent of optimism and strength.

Through their collaboration, Malaika and Jakabol fuse spoken word and music to give a performance that finds the epic in the ordinary and magic in the everyday.

ROBERT GARNHAM

Robert's last two comedy shows toured the country at festivals and fringes and led to him being mentioned as having one of the funniest jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe. He has headlined at the Duplex cabaret in New York and has been longlisted three times as spoken word artist of the year. He has supported John Hegley, Paul Sinha and Arthur Smith at comedy nights, and has made a tv advert for a certain Building society.
