Who decides what is shown in galleries and museums? And should we trust their judgement?

The criteria employed to select what to exhibit tells us a great deal about whoever is organising the exhibition. Central to the decision making process is the work of the critic.

Join us for an exploration of key texts by critics from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries to gain insight in to the people who decide what we get to see, and how their value judgements are cultivated, maintained, and often eventually rejected.
