THU 12 JAN 6.00pm FREE

What role can the object play in social formation and in developing a distinct view of culture?

Where is the museum currently situated in contemporary culture? How have museums and galleries contributed to our understanding of ourselves and our histories, through the choices they have made about the things they have added to their collections?

This workshop focuses on handling objects as well as discussing their potential. We will be examining a wide selection of art and designed objects and interrogating their place within museum culture and day to day society.
