Fraudulent Behaviour uses prose, invisible friends, a decoy duck and cardboard cut-outs to create a witty and thoughtful performance in response to Nietzsche’s assertion “We need lies in order to live…” The work is about the lies that are rarely questioned; the lies that are taken for granted; and the lies we tell when the truth is too complicated.

“A performer/raconteur who looks at the world and observes it exquisitely and then constructs poetry/prose to communicate her take on it. “ Kevin Jackson Blogspot

Commissioned by Arnolfini and Performance Space, Sydney. Co-commissioned with Bluecoat with support from Department of Performance Studies USYD and Bundanon Artist Trust. Rosie Dennis is currently touring Fraudulent Behaviour with the assistance of Dance4.
