Continuing the ‘Art in the City’ series of talks by leading British artists, UWE & Arnolfini present Samson Kambalu – who describes himself as “making art while busy living life like film strips.”

Samson Kambalu is a Malawi-born, London-based artist and author. Employing a playful style to make serious points, looking at the interaction of cinema and everyday life, he explores the nature of gift giving in culture and how this affects our sense of linear time.

He has shown around the world, including recently at the Liverpool Biennial and the Whitechapel GalleryJoin us for this opportunity to discuss his practice in ‘psychogeographic Nyau cinema’, hear about his exhibitions through the UK and internationally, and ask your own questions.

Samson Kambalu.

Entrance is free to UWE art students (on presentation of ID card).
