With an introduction by the artist
This one-off event is the first UK screening of films by New York artist Matthew Buckingham, who we are bringing to Arnolfini to introduce his films. As a frequent collaborator with Joachim Koester, Buckingham is represented in JK/JK with the new film Sandra of the Tuliphouse, or How to Live in a Free State and he also features in vague but true. Rapidly gaining recognition, Buckingham has shown his films at the Museum of Modern Art and P.S.1 in New York and Moderna Museet
in Stockholm, amongst other venues. Afterwards, you are invited to discuss the work over a
drink with the artist and Arnolfini’s curatorial staff.
