Willi Dorner (Austria)
A dynamic dance performance of intricate and tender solos and duets. Austrian artist Willi Dorner is a choreographer, curator and video artist who combines disciplines to subvert and question our perceptions of movement and dance. In Mazy, each piece steps away from the usual language of movement to question the body, self-awareness and self-alienation, with light, speech and video used to punctuate the pieces. Mazy seeks to unravel the relationships between body and consciousness, memory and present, psyche and space.
“With its astonishing concentration on pure forms of movement Dorner’s Mazy offers an intriguing glimpse into the future of dance.” Salzburger Nachrichten
